Who are we looking for?
CAESAR Lab is always looking for highly talented and motivated graduate students. Students with strong backgrounds in programming, low-level software, communication libraries and most importantly, creative inquisitive minds will be particularly successful in this lab. CAESAR laboratory highly values diversity in research teams and welcomes applications from all qualified individuals. Individuals from under-represented groups including but not exclusive of gender, sexual orientation, race, religion and national origin are essential parts of the lab. Canadian citizens in particular are highly encouraged to apply as special funding opportunities exist for domestic students. International students with excellent english skills that are capable of working closely with collaborators in the US and Europe are highly encouraged to apply.

Members of the laboratory receive world-class training in some of the highest demand specialist areas of software engineering and computer science. All members of CAESAR lab are expected to be published scientists by the completion of their degree.

Graduates in systems software for distributed systems are in extremely high demand and have the skills for careers in world-leading research laboratories and industry-leading companies like Google, Amazon, Facebook, Intel, Nvidia, HPE and academic careers.
Students have opportunities to travel to the top conferences in the area and publish high-impact papers. High Performance Computing resources are available locally at Queen’s and students have the opportunity to run experiments on some of the largest supercomputers/clouds in the world through access with collaborator systems.
